GPC is involved in the national Covid19 vaccine rollout – commencing on April 6 with the Astra Zeneca vaccine – the only vaccine provided to General Practices participating in the rollout . Vaccination will only be available through our Covid vaccine clinics, not during a routine appointment.

The Government website Healthdirect Australia is an easy site to check your eligibility and other vaccination information. Please note GPC’s details will appear on that site in the week before our planned commencement date of April 6.

The initial supply of vaccine doses will be very limited so GPs are being advised to prioritise vaccinating the most vulnerable patients within phase 1b first. So healthy eligible patients may not receive their vaccine immediately.

At this stage we are notifying the most vulnerable patients of an appointment time.

Some additional appointments in our clinics can be booked via the HotDoc booking link on our website or the HotDoc app. Click here to book

If you are not able to find an appointment at GPC at a time that suits you, eligible people, including those who do not hold a current Medicare Card, may be able to access the Covid-19 Vaccine at  a Respiratory Clinic (GPRC)

This list of GPRCs is being updated regularly, however, we can confirm that Clinics at being run at Ryde and Roseville

When you have booked an appointment either via HotDoc or reception you will be sent the information you require before coming to the practice for your vaccine, the questions you need to answer for consent and the what to expect after the vaccine.

Please check back here for regular updates about this process.

Thanks for your patience in this complex and large operation.
